TELSTORM was retained as “Prime Consultant” for this project, offering project management, architectural and structural design services in house, and utilizing sub-consultants for mechanical, electrical and civil designs. However, the structural discipline was the Lead Consultant for this project. The structural project scope of work was to provide structural engineering services for a one storey, 5,000 SF commercial building within an existing strip plaza at a busy intersection in Scarborough, ON. The structural engineering work consisted of analysis and design of OWSJ’s, steel beams and columns, concrete foundation walls and concrete pier foundations.
